MAKE A MOTHAF**KIN CHOICE

MAKE A MOTHAF**KIN CHOICE

The thing I love about life is that we have options. Everyone has options. We just have to make a choice. I’m only writing this because people come to me for advice. Right now I’m getting a lot of questions that revolve around indecisiveness. When it comes to your creativity my opinion doesn’t matter because in the end the judge, jury, and executioner will be you. I’m flattered that people trust my opinion enough to ask for my advice but in the end it’s up to you.

It can be good sometimes in a sense where you can stop yourself from making a dumb decision and actually weigh your options but this is more for people who spend weeks and even months not making a decision that can help them move their creativity forward. Even people who aren’t the most talented people in the world get farther than super talented people because they make decisions on the spot. All they see is green lights and they deal with the fall out or the reward. They don’t care and they will make a decision quickly all over again. While the talented person is either asking 100 people for their opinion, not deciding at all, or wrecking their brain over what decision they should make. Some people are just too lazy to make a decision.

One thing I take away from indecisiveness is that it’s just fear of making a bad decision. The fear of failing. It’s so common but so crippling. You're gonna make bad choices so fuck it, make a bunch of em. You bound to make a good one right? The more you shoot the more you bound to make, right? Indecisiveness about things like travel or what you want to eat don’t mean shit. You can be indecisive about that shit all day but when it comes to your passion you better boss the fuck up and do what you need to do. Perfectionism can also bring indecisiveness into your creative world. We all already know how silly and unrealistic perfectionism is.

Being indecisive wastes time, opportunities, and energy. Majority of the time people are indecisive over shit that’s not even worth deciding on. If it doesn’t change your life than it’s a decision that’s not too important. When it comes to your creative career you need to just do, do, do. You have no time to be indecisive. Just make a decision and whatever the outcome is, that’s what it’ll be. You’ll rather make the wrong decision and realize what you’ve made a wrong decision than not make a decision and there’s no movement at all. You won’t move forward or backwards. You’ll still be in the same spot. You can at least grow from a wrong decision. Remember, your opinion is King when it comes to your life. Now could that opinion be wrong. Yes but it’s YOURS and that’s what important. If you’re wrong you’re wrong. Won’t be the first time won’t be the last. Keep your head up regardless of the outcome.

Everyone is indecisive about certain things but the people who are consistently indecisive are the ones who don’t change the game. Indecisive people don’t change anything in the world. They don’t make a difference. They’re followers and are incapable of being leaders. They can never work for themselves. They’re indecisive because they value other people opinions over their own. They care what people think which makes it difficult for them to decide what’s best for them or their creativity. They’re more concerned with external factors than their own happiness.

Stop overanalyzing and trust yourself that you have the sauce. Your indecisiveness is slowing up your work and your true potential. I know that if you make the wrong decision you’re going to fear that you will have wasted time but there’s a silver lining in everything. You could meet a person that changes everything for you. You can experience something that opens your eyes. You can evolve from whatever creative decision you make.

A decision = Progress

Indecisiveness = No action
