A POLITE TOP 50 RAPPERS LIST
Man my list is niggas I actually grew up on or listened to. I really don’t give a fuck about skill and all that shit cause if we go off that everybody list will look the same. Anybody after Jay-Z I don’t care what the order is. All I know is Hov is The G.O.A.T the rest of the rappers place them wherever you want. So again cause I know somebody will refuse to read. After Jay-Z this list is NOT in any particular order. I repeat AGAIN. This list is NOT in order after Jay-Z. This shit not based on skill, ability, legendary status, etc. It’s just based off what I grew up on and listen to.

Now some of these people that are on this list people may try to talk shit about like …..
Ghostface Killah - Discography is crazy. Iron-Man, Supreme Clientele, Fishscale = CLASSICS. I’d fight niggas over Tony Stark.
Scarface - He’s like the B.B King of Hip-Hop. Vivid imagery. 2nd greatest storyteller. Discography full of classics. The Diary, Untouchable, Last Of A Dying Breed, The Fix. He reminds me of that O.G that’s outside drinking a 40 and you think he on all bullshit until you have a conversation with him and he drops all gems on you.
DJ Quik - He’s my favorite rapper ever but he doesn’t get the credit for his flow, creativity, wordplay, or discography. He’s most def a Top 50 rapper.
E-40 - My second favorite rapper of all time. He the Ron Isley of the game. He got hits in every decade. If you read and breakdown his shit he really slick as fuck with his words.
Big-L - I play Lifestylez Ov Da Poor And Dangerous today and still can’t believe that a fucking human wrote that shit. Those punchlines on that album would be deadly in 2019. Big L said it best “I’m so far ahead of my time my parents haven’t met yet.”
Lupe Fiasco - Greatest Pen In Hip-Hop history. Greatest writer of my generation. Flat-out. I’m not arguing about it cause it’s a fact.
Redman - His first 3 albums are classics. CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED M.C. The punchlines he’d rapped back then were funny and clever as fuck. The Sooperman Lover series was some of the greatest shit I’ve ever heard. Again he’s another rapper where true M.C’s know what’s up.
Kool G Rap - Big Pun, a known gangsta kissed this man’s ring. Big Pun. A lyrical legend got down on one knee, grabbed Kool G Rap’s hand and kissed his ring like he was a mob boss who was the head of the five families. That’s how much juice Kool G Rap has. He’s the most respected rapper ever amongst hip-hop legends. He could walk into a room full of legends and they would be star struck. I’m just gonna leave this here below.
I left off a lot of legends. Legends that have top 10 ability in terms of skill. No disrespect to them. I just didn’t listen to them as much as the artists I put on my list. I’m not saying these artists are better. If I did a whole list on skillset alone this list would be totally different. I truly do respect our hip-hop legends and pioneers and what they’ve contributed to the game.
I really tried to put Left Eye and prime Young Dro on here but I couldn’t find a spot and that makes me sad.
Peace.
