THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM SAITAMA (ONE PUNCH MAN)

Made a promise that I would have more anime write up’s and I’m a man of my word so here we are.

Recently I just received the best anime of 2015 on blu ray “One Punch Man.” Right now it’s one of the most popular manga and anime today and it’s mainly because of the series hero “Saitama.”

Re-watching the first season on blu ray I discovered that Saitama possess qualities that people in society need in their lives.

Here are some things we can learn from Saitama.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE

Saitama was a unemployed man down on his luck. Interview after interview he would get turned down. Just looking at him you could tell he didn’t even want to have a job at all. He was living a life that was unfulfilled.

After a key encounter he decided at that moment he was going to start doing what he loved for a living. As cliche as it is, doing what you love for a living is so necessary.

DOESN’T CARE WHAT OTHERS THINK

Saitama is very plain looking with a plain personality. Nothing flashy about him so in just about every battle he’s in he’s insulted because of his appearance. In the first season people of the city have very disrespectful things to say about Saitama and Saitama’s peers also look down on him but the thing that makes Saitama interesting is the indifference he feels about all of that. Any negativity doesn’t phase him.

Things like that usually bring the worse out of people but Saitama just doesn’t give a fuck. He’s really uninterested in what people think of him because he knows what kind of man he is. No one can change the opinion that he has of himself which is a strength in itself. Always fuck with yourself and don’t ever trip off what the next person thinks. If you fuck with you then you’ll be alright.

ALWAYS LOOK FOR A CHALLENGE

Saitama has a rare gift but that gift is his curse. Therefore he’s bored rather easily. He’s always looking for a challenge. Easy isn’t fun and whatever comes easy isn’t always great. Always look for new exciting challenges to conquer.

DO IT FOR FUN

Saitama only wants to be a superhero for fun. All the other heroes in the series are obsessed with looking like the greatest hero to all of the world. If there wasn’t a audience they probably wouldn’t want to be heroes. That’s not the case for Saitama he really loves being a hero to pass time.

When you do what you love for fun that’s way more rewarding and fulfilling than any attention or monetary value you could receive. If you’re not having fun with something you’re doing then you need to seriously reevaluate what you’re doing.

SAY LESS

Word to my nigga Darian. Just say less like Saitama. Saitama doesn’t like to hear people talk a lot. He doesn’t talk a lot himself. He doesn’t want to hear about people’s background and he doesn’t like to discuss his. In his words “SAY IT IN 20 WORDS OR LESS!”

I was raised to always think “The people who talk a lot aren’t really saying much.

NO EGO

Think about this shit.

Saitama is essentially a God walking amongst men and he’s the most humble out of everyone. Even more than people without special abilities. There is no signs of ego in Saitama. ZERO. He’s not flashy. Even his attacks have very simple names instead of flashy names.

The ego is your worse enemy. The ego destroys more than it creates. It can’t create at all.

DISCIPLINE

Saitama gained his strength by doing 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and 100 squats a day for 3 years straight. He also skipped no meals and never lived with air conditioning or heat in his crib to strengthen his mind. He lives very simple and loves his bargain deals at the market. He’s a very disciplined man and it gives him everything he needs.

Discipline is freedom. You may not see it that way but it really is. When you’re discipline you will bring out the best inside of you.

I want all of you to practice the ways of Saitama and take down your goals one punch at a time.
