BLACKS WHO BLOG
All I think about is black women.
So I’m back again showing love to all the melanin bloggers out there.
Okay? …….. K!
Links to all these wonderful blogs and their twitter names are placed below every entry. =)
ALEY ARION
This was probably my favorite blog out of the new blogs I found. She’s just real and she doesn’t hold back. We need more of that in writers. The Wale article was on point. I wrote a similar article about the same shit but I think mine was a bit more harsh cause I was fed the fuck up with his antics. Anyway, it was refreshing to read something where I felt the writer was genuine on what they were writing. The Serena Interracial dating article and the supporting black business article are things people are usually afraid to discuss and if they do they will be politically correct about it. Not Aley. She bossed up and wrote what she felt. I respect shit like that and I also respect that it is mentioned on this blog that Blaque was SUPER slept on. “Leny” was the shit. R.I.P Natina Reed.

JASMINE DIANE
First lemme do a disclaimer (I think that’s what you call that shit). I dislike Kansas City. It’s an awful place. I’m from St.Louis. I have a BUNCH of family and friends from Kansas City so I guess I love them by default despite their poor choice in hometown’s and visiting them is a nightmare. Their bbq is overrated. I hate the Chiefs cause I’m a Oakland Raiders fan so I will never ever cheer for anything Kansas City related ever, except JasmineDiane.com. =)
I’m just talking shit. It’s my duty to give all Kansas City residents a hard time.
This blog has it all. There are informative articles like how to do Linkedin. Not gonna lie Linkedin frustrates the fuck outta me but I guess I’ll give it shot again after reading the “Do’s and Dont’s" article on here. I have A.D.D so when I visit Linkedin and look at its boring setup I just open my Hulu on another tab and start watching “Seinfeld” and pretend I never visited that site. You also see beauty articles, and personal articles. There’s even a shop for visitors to buy things.
On the personal articles like the Instagram model joint and the #MyGirlStory write up both of those showed vulnerability in the writer which is always good to get out of your system and into writing. You also see some cool fashion write ups on here. The whole blog is fire except anytime Kansas City is mentioned (Joking). Dope blog.

LETICIA HUNT
Her blog is basically one big lit lookbook. Melanin poppin and jumpin thru the screen. I liked all the photos and the explanation of the looks she was going for. I also liked how culturally influenced the fashion and travel photos were and there’s even pop culture influence with the homage to Kill Bill and Sade. This blog is so colorful. The 2 Shots & Talk Podcast is fire too. I liked the topics discussed.

INFI-NERDY
It’s like Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy. Everything is dark and I love it. This is one of the most creative sites I’ve ever visited in my life. I had to use my dictionary app to read most of the things on here cause you know I’m not good at defining words. I’m not on T.I levels with the words but there are some heavy things to think about on these narratives. Narrative 3 was my favorite I couldn’t stop staring at the photography. The photography spoke to me. The traveling photos showed me I need to get my black ass out more. The poetry was beautiful too. This site is a site for my people and I need y’all to get hip fast!

MELLIE KING
She opens every door. It’s very simple. Most bloggers hide things from their blog. It’s their lives and they have that right to. I’m certainly not judging either way but Mellie just lets you know things that people are afraid to share.
I was watching Amy Winehouse documentary for the second time the other day and throughout it I was wondering if it was okay that I was watching it. She was documenting her self destruction. Flaws and all. No filter. This blog is in that same realm. I’ve gone through depression from 2012-2014 and I could relate to a lot on the blog and it made me feel good to know that I wasn’t alone in feeling what I felt. People tend to call you crazy when you go through depression as if our thoughts and what we feel isn’t valid and people wonder why people who are going through things keep it to themselves. It’s a tough ordeal. The path to healing and change is a long one.
This blog gave me a lot of perspective and the stories shared made me appreciate life even more. I’m happy I came across this blog. I needed to.

PURPOSELY-YOU
I can’t recall reading a blog that made me smile so much. It’s positivity all over the place. After I read some entries I walked over to my mirror and said to my reflection “YOU’RE THE GREATEST MUHFUCKA ALIVE! LOOK AT YOU! YOU’RE THE GREATEST WRITER TO EVER LIVE AND YOU HAVE THE BRAVADO AND WAVINESS OF DRAFT DAY DEION SANDERS!”
Yup! That's the pic!
Purposely-you reminded me that you gotta just let shit go and just live the life you wanna live. I believe that’s everyone purpose anyway. This is a beautiful blog from a beautiful soul. I encourage everyone read it. Don’t go out sad.

SAINTDYANA
A week or two ago I responded to a blog entry called “What We Not Finna Do” from Saintdyana.com. I don’t respond to shit unless it’s worthy and everything is fucking worthy on this blog. It’s funny, real, and teaches black women how to make their skin glow like a Super Saiyan. Nothing but love you feel me? Pull up.
