WHAT THE FUCK I LISTENED TO YESTERDAY
Shit it’s probably been about a year since I did one of these.
SIS - GHOST EP
So I was listening to this and it sounds like the music you hear on Power when it shows Tasha or LaLa crying and staring into space while niggas just out killing and cheating. Y’all know what I’m talking bout. Favorite track would have to be Anything (The Note Pt 2). The acoustic guitar really complimented SIS voice. Solid EP.
9 - HOME EP
Not even 1:40 seconds in and I’m crying because Fantasy89 has hints of Erykah “Green Eyes” and a cool RPG soundtrack. Like I’m searching for crystals or some shit. Guitars are the focal point of the production and her voice feels like it was made for the production. Doesn’t sound forced like other R&B projects.
MYRION TWOS - 9:30
The Omarion of Trap&B is back after just after a few months after releasing his debut album. I’m bout to put on a turtleneck sing “In Here” like a nigga really going through it. It times to put “Mixed Emotions” on the Billboard Country Charts. Call Luke Bryan for the remix.

DOM VENICE - CHECK THE SCORE
If the classic arcade game Cruisin USA ever had a soundtrack this would be it. It feel like he recorded this next to the ocean. I know this shit hit if you playing it poolside with a mimosa and a shorty who thick as a bitch. Been playing this album all week. Manhattan beach my shit. Nothing but quotables.
J-HOP - THE WIRE FEAT FEMDOT
Well the Co-op is obviously useless to J-Hop since the price of the brick has gone up. Hoppa and Femdot provide the lyrical miracle shit and the track still has the bounce where shorties can get ratchet and deny everything that happened last night and explain that I’m just their “bro” to their boyfriends.
SEALS - DUCKED OFF
The street Picasso is back with more hustles than John Legend and more gems than Lupin The 3rd. Definitely my jam cause I’m a nigga that’s always ducked off.

LEONARD, ERIC DONTE, DJ HOOD BUNNNY - LOVE ME
Just slide em to the side like coleslaw is the realest rap line I’ve heard in years. I always slide that shit to the side. My nigga Hood Bunnny sounding spicy and confident like he been rapping for years. Proud of him. Start throwing Pokemon cards at your shows nigga.
SAINT OEAUX & Q-HALL - Q’S AND OEAUX’S
Very smooth and consistent project. It just really transitions well from track to track. It reminds me of different eras in one project. It has that Flight School/How Fly era sound. New New York rap sound. Some southern flavor. It has a sound for every mood and that makes it a complete body of work. Every Corner is my shit I had that on repeat.
BIG NEPH & TRIGG - BELLY
Bout to take out my army fatigue jacket and walk the streets looking like Method Man in the strip club in Belly. The way Neph skates over Trigg’s boom bap production is full of confidence, wittiness, and reality. It’s hip-hop in it’s purest form. So many punchlines. This that posted 139 and Lennox with crack in the Timberlands music.
THEE PHAROAH - NO HOOK MUSIC VIDEO
The nigga with the littlest neck in St.Louis dropped a new video “No Hook” My nigga bout to spill beer in the store like McLovin while rapping his ass off. Watch “No Hook” below.
KAYANO REEVES - STAY TO MYSELF MUSIC VIDEO
Alex Don directed this video so Kayano had to save the day with his rapping to prevent it from being mid. So basically Kayano is saving Alex from failure. Jokes aside. My nigga was going through it in this video. You know it’s all bad when you lose your shorty. Watch “Stay To Myself” below.
Peace
